Day 16 - The real me vs the online me
I do not use Instagram, Twitter, Vine, do Vlogs or videos. I frequent Facebook. Pinterest and occasionly blog. On Facebook, I mostly read, like, and comment on existing post and less often will start a post of my own. I am more likely to start post in a Facebook group relating to crafts or scrapbooking. Regardless of where I post, I try not to post anything controversial as I do not like to debate or strict up arguments. I have been known to post something silly, think it may be taken wrong and take it right back down. Pinterest is a look into things that really interest me but again, I don't follow others, comment or make it social in any way. This said, I feel my real self and my online self are one in the same. I stick with people and things I know and don't branch out too far from my comfort zone.

Day 11 - Friday night plans
If I stay in on a Friday night, I would start off with a nice warm bath and a good book. Then I'd sit down to a movie and a bowl of popcorn. Of course I can't just sit there watching, so I'll need to be working on my latest craft project as well. Most likely a mini book. I would then end my evening by watching the 11:00 news (cause I'm a nerd like that) and finish the night off by lying in bed with my iPad on Facebook, Pinterest, and Amazon for a few more hours.
Day 10 - My bucket List
Self:
- Learn to swim
- Archery
- Volunteer
- Own my own craft shop
Travel:
- New York City
- Grand Canyon
- Northern Lights
- Whale Watching

Day 8 - My favorite season
Fall is my favorite season. I love the colors, the smell, and the cooler temperatures. Fall is a great time to go camping, or visit caverns. For me, Fall is the slow down after a very busy, active summer. It's when you settle in with a good book, new recipes, and start preparing for the holidays.

Day 7 - Naming my blog
When I first set up my blog, I wanted it to be a fun place to share my scrapbooking layouts and ideas. At the time, I was always saying to my husband "just give me a little time to scrap". I decided to use "Gimme" as a play on words to my mother and step-father's last name which is Gimmey. I remember as a child whenever we ordered pizza my dad would tell the person on the phone it's "Gimmey, as in gimme a good pizza".

Day 2 - My Ideal Day
Well, it really depends on my mood.
If I'm feeling active, my ideal day would be:
Boating, swimming, kayaking, and then grilling out with friends and family.
or
Site-seeing in a new city, going to the zoo, a day at the beach.
If I want to relax, my ideal day would be:
Reading, crafting, surfing (the web) , catching up on some shows.

Blog-tember Challenge 09/01/15
09/01/15
Introduce Myself
After listening to The Pink Camera Podcast, I joined The Crafty Maven Getaway Facebook group. The very first post I stumbled across in this Facebook group was about the Blog-tember Challenge. Lucky for me, what great timing. For weeks, I have been wanting to get back to my blog so here is my inspiration.
Ok, Sharon. Stop looking at everyone else's blog for comparison before you even post your own. Just do it.
Here goes...
I have had my blog for several years but have not been very active. I use it more for sharing my projects and little about myself. I am a bit reserved when it comes to sharing about myself because I am an extreme introvert. This is something that I try daily to change about myself. I have social anxiety when meeting new people or going someplace unfamiliar. I am hoping this challenge might help in the sense of getting to know new people even if it's just on paper. Just don't ask to meet me in person or I just may freak out. lol
I am Sharon, have lived in Ohio my entire life of 49 years. I have been married to my husband Kenny for 25 years, our only child is Jackson, a 6 year old golden retriever. We love to camp, travel, host family gatherings. We have a rather large extended family and all live within 5 miles of one another and spend as much time together as possible. Our current struggles are caring for aging parents. In my personal time, I love to read, cook, scrapbook, make cards and mini books.
If I could make one major change in my life right now, it would be to leave my job of 20 years and spend my time creating.
