While going thru some old photos, I kept seeing pictures of my mom and her dear friend. This friend had been a part of our family my entire life. Since my mom passed a few years ago, I thought the perfect gift to her friend on her 80th birthday would be a mini book of these memories. I knew I had to hurry as her birthday was in a month. I worked on it non-stop in my spare time for two weeks. I got a box, signed a card and had it all addressed and ready to ship out. My plan was to send it out in about one week so it would arrive just before her birthday. I then received a phone call from her daughter saying she had been admitted into hospice. I was at a lost as to what to do. I asked others what I should do. Send it early in hopes she could still enjoy it, send it later for her daughters to enjoy or not send it at all. I just did not want my intentions misunderstood. I chose to send it out the next day and looking back can not figure out why I ever questioned it. I received a phone call from her daughter saying she had a chance to look at it before she passed and she absolutely loved it. Her daughters thanked me as well for the keepsake.
